Purpose:Three-phase dry type transformers are intended for transforming of electric energy in networks of power systems and in energy consumer networks.

Dry Type Epoxy Resin Cast Power Transformer Advantage:

The SCB13 epoxy resin dry-type transformer is extensively utilized in civil construction due to its superior energy-saving performance. The accompanying chart illustrates the no-load loss parameters for different series of transformers: SCB10 (Basic Efficiency Level), SCB11 (Old Standard Efficiency Level 2), SCB12 (New Standard Efficiency Level 3), and SCB13(Old Standard Efficiency Level 1 ). It is evident that both the SCB12 and SCB13 series exhibit lower energy consumption and higher efficiency, making them the primary promoted models for energy conservation.

 

The subsequent line chart provides a more intuitive comparison, demonstrating that the SCB12 and SCB13 series achieve an average reduction of approximately 11% in no-load loss compared to the SCB11 series; relative to the SCB10 series, the no-load loss (P0) decreases by about 23%, highlighting their significant energy-saving benefits. Given the generally low load rates in modern civil buildings, these low-loss transformers offer substantial energy savings and environmental protection advantages.

Dry Type Epoxy Resin Cast Power Transformer Features:

·High Voltage Winding

The high voltage winding is vacuum-cast with epoxy resin containing fillers, significantly reducing discharge volume and enhancing the electrical strength of the coil. The inner and outer walls of the winding are reinforced with glass fiber mesh cloth, improving the impact toughness of the coil and its resistance to sudden short circuits. This ensures that the coil will not dry out or crack over time.

 

·Low Voltage Winding

The low voltage winding features a foil structure that resolves issues related to radial spiral angles during wire winding, ensuring more balanced ampere-turns. Radial cooling air ducts are incorporated into the coil design to improve heat dissipation. The winding solid layer is made from DMD epoxy resin prepreg cloth, forming a robust dry solid structure through overall dry solid molding.

 

·Iron Core:

The core is constructed from high-quality cold-rolled silicon steel sheets with a 45° full oblique joint structure. The core column is bound with F-grade weftless adhesive tape, and the core surface is coated with epoxy resin, effectively reducing no-load loss, no-load current, and core noise. Clamping parts and fasteners undergo unique surface treatments to enhance the  appearance quality of the product.

Dry Type Epoxy Resin Cast Power Transformer Advantage:

· Low Loss: The SCB13 series exhibits over 20% lower no-load losses compared to SCB10 products, delivering excellent energy efficiency and economic operation.

· Low Noise: The noise level of SCB12 transformers is significantly reduced, being at least 10-15 dB lower than the current standard JB/T10088-1999 for "6-220kV Transformer Sound Levels".

· Low Partial Discharge: SCB12 transformers have minimal partial discharge, typically controlled below 5pC. Both high and low voltage windings are cast under vacuum and pressure, resulting in a compact, solid structure that is resistant to explosions and environmentally friendly.

· Fire Safety: The coil insulation materials, including glass fiber, possess self-extinguishing properties, preventing arc formation during short circuit faults. Additionally, epoxy resin does not produce toxic or harmful substances even under high temperatures.

· High Impact Toughness: The use of epoxy resin with fillers minimizes thermal expansion differences within the casting body, reduces curing shrinkage rates and thermal stress, and increases the hardness of the dry solid. The internal and external epoxy resin coating layer of the high and low voltage coils, contains prefabricated component lifting materials, creating a high-density structure similar to concrete. This enhances impact toughness, allowing the transformer to withstand sudden short circuit fault without damage.
